PHOCEA DC and MEGAPORT have signed a strategic partnership to give local players access to the provider's on-demand interconnection services.
Marseille, May 2024: PHOCEA DC, a new sovereign data center emerging in Marseille, and MEGAPORT, a connectivity services provider, announce the signing of a strategic partnership. The agreement will give MEGAPORT a new PoP within the Marseille data center and enable PHOCEA DC to offer its customers on-demand interconnection services to public clouds and, more broadly, to every site where MEGAPORT is present: more than 850 data centers across 25 countries and more than 365 service providers, including the leading global clouds such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, IBM Cloud and others.
Located in Marseille's 3rd arrondissement, as close as possible to subsea cable connectivity, PHOCEA DC will begin operations before the end of the year. A 100% French company, it offers a sovereign, regional alternative to current hosting offerings. Its services are aimed primarily at local players: local authorities, businesses, operators and managed service providers.
MEGAPORT, for its part, partners with the world's largest service providers as well as the world's largest data center operators, system integrators and managed service providers. Its users benefit from fast, flexible, on-demand connectivity to all the services in its ecosystem.
Thanks to this partnership, PHOCEA DC's business customers will have à la carte access to a global network, allowing them to connect to any destination according to their needs, without having to deploy complex network infrastructure. They will be able to build a network quickly and easily, optimize its configuration and simplify their processes.
These advanced, on-demand features will be available as soon as PHOCEA DC opens.

PHOCEA DC is a sovereign provider of eco-responsible data centers based in Marseille. The company raised €5 million in 2023 to finance its development. The Marseille data center covers 1,700 m² with 1.2 MW of power. Compliant with the Tier III standard, it will combine reliability and energy efficiency.
